Welcome To The St. Kevin’s Music Program Page!
Classroom instruction focuses on three areas: 1) music history and music appreciation; 2) learning basic concepts of music theory, e.g. how to read musical notes and interpret musical rhythms; 3) practical applications of musical knowledge through singing or playing some form of musical instrument.
During the 2013-2014 school year, the music history portion will focus on famous composers and their music throughout several periods: Medieval, Renaissance; Baroque, Classical, and 20th Century. Concepts of music will be reinforced through classroom instruction, fun musical “word” lesson sheets and periodic quizes.
We meet on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s
